Toshiba announced new series MCU based on Arm architecture (M - M4G group, the series MCU built-in timer and communication channel, further enrich the Toshiba TXZ ™ series microcontroller product line, for office automation (OA) equipment, audio and video (AV) equipment and industrial equipment to provide support.Mass production will begin with selected products and gradually expand the scope.
Toshiba TXZ series MCU M4G group (1) is based on FPU Arm cortex-m4 core, it integrates high performance analog circuit, multiple timer and communication channel, can provide 100 pin to 177 pin rich package type, and built-in memory capacity between 512KB to 1536KB flash memory, working frequency up to 160MHz.
In addition to a high-precision analog circuit that includes a 12-bit AD converter (up to 24 channels) and an 8-bit DA converter (2 channels) with a conversion speed of 1.0 s, the TXZ series MCU M4G group (1) has two built-in DMA controllers, a high-speed DMA controller and a multi-function DMA controller. These two controllers can not only achieve low power consumption, but also provide advanced functions, while integrating multifunctional peripheral circuits, such as serial memory interface (SMIF), UART, I2C, TSPI and timer, to provide support for large-scale systems.
TXZ series MCU M4G group (1) the built-in AD converter can select two sampling cycles for any channel, which can reduce the impedance regulation in large-scale systems requiring multiple sensors. In addition, built-in timers, UART and TSPI interconnection features, and interval sensor detection circuits (ISD) help reduce the load in software processing.
Toshiba plans to introduce microcontrollers for communications control in high-speed data processing and devices with high-precision analog circuits for low - and medium-speed motor controls.Toshiba will continue to enrich the TXZ series to meet the needs of the motor control and global sensing markets.
